The Oracle Applications Functional Analyst provides leadership and expertise for the Oracle ERP E-business suite modules including general module integration. Responsibilities also include, strategic assessment and planning, instance and module configuration, solution design, system documentation, end user training, and support. The Oracle Applications Functional Analyst will collaborate with various IT and business area organizations to assess and document current state, build and map business requirements, develop functional and technical documentation, and deploy proper and efficient solutions within the Oracle E-business suite applications. The position requires the ability to understand and articulate the big picture of the ERP application and an integrated environment, and provide technical solutions to complex business problems using various technologies.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Leads analysis, design, modeling, testing, and implementation activities within the areas of responsibilities. Provide guidance and recommendations for process enhancements and efficiencies for the modules within the Oracle ERP suite of applications.
  • Performs analysis of present systems and operations; documents existing procedures and operating methods; defines requested data requirements; analyzes documentation files and reports; designs improved system and methods of implementation around the ERP applications modules.
  • Coordinate, collaborate, and work alongside other IT and business areas to ensure a properly configured and maintained ERP system.
  • Prepares/maintains project/work schedules and required project documentation.
  • Develops and implements program/system test plans. Devises data verification methods and standard system procedures. Provide continual assessment and review of testing and integration plans to ensure correct and completeness of content.
  • Maintain current knowledge and system functionality understanding for application modules within the area of responsibility.
  • Provide end user training within areas of responsibility as well as guidance and instruction for lesser-experienced staff. Has responsibility for the work of others.
  • Participates and coordinates analysis, design and implementation work with external vendor consultants, contractors and technical support in the area of responsibility.

Required Experience

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

* Solid understanding of 12x architecture with specific hands-on experience with Oracle applications 12.1.1 or higher.

* IBM AIX, Linux, SUN Solaris preferred.

* Strong knowledge and understanding of functional and business integration processes.

* Oracle workflow and personalization understanding.

* Oracle reporting abilities including BI Publisher and Oracle reports.

* Working knowledge of Oracle applications administration skills (Concurrent Managers, Programs, Profiles, Role Based Security, User Administration etc).
